Nestled just off Harrison Avenue in Cincinnati, this unassuming Mediterranean eatery hums with the steady, easy rhythm of a place where locals gather for comforting, soulful meals without fuss or pretense.

The atmosphere moves at a welcoming pace, neither rushed nor overly quiet, blending the casual comfort of a family kitchen with the vibrant promise of shared flavors. The team behind the counter greets guests with genuine smiles and familiarity that makes visitors—whether longtime customers or first-timers—feel at ease and truly seen. The simple interior is a backdrop to the real celebration: the food and the moments it invites.

Here, plates arrive filled with thoughtful combinations that speak to Mediterranean culinary traditions, from fragrant shawarma to rich, spiced dishes that balance heartiness with freshness. Whether it’s the satisfying heft of a gyro burger platter or the bright, crisp notes of a Greek salad drizzled with creamy dressing, each bite carries the feeling of care and rooted family recipes. The experience extends beyond just the main dishes—comforting sides and housemade sauces add layers that invite sharing, savoring, and returning for more.

The essence of Babas isn’t only in the food but in the spirit of connection. It’s a place where a quick drive-thru order can be as warm as a lingering table visit, where a shared baklava dessert feels like an unspoken welcome to slow down and enjoy life’s sweeter moments. Even amid the daily rush, the staff's attentiveness and familiar faces lend a sense of calm and belonging.

For anyone looking to explore genuine Mediterranean flavors within a humble, heart-filled setting, Babas Shawarma Grill delivers not only satisfying meals but also a quietly joyful gathering spot where good food and kindness meet.

Can't say enough great things about Babas! The food is the BEST mediterranean food you will find and prices no one can compare to! Average meal combo/platter is around $10! I promise you won't find better food for anything close to their pricing. The owner Kareem and the waitress Joyce are the best. They're super friendly, personable, and welcoming. I'm from out of town but I make it a priority to stop by every time I'm passing through Cincinnati. They have dine in, carry out, and even a drive through. No matter how you get the food here, you'll love it!

Awesome service and their chicken shawarma platter is delicious! Homemade flavorful greek food made quick, plated beautifully and with a drive thru. Couldn't ask for more! The young man running the counter was very kind and polite. We'll be back!

The best falafel in town. It’s a smaller building with delicious food by a lovely family. Only down side is the parking lot has a pot hole. Couldn’t ask for better food with amazing vegetarian options and they are always great at accommodating. If you love Mediterranean and or Greek food this is your sign to come on in and see for yourself.

If you haven't eaten at this fine restaurant next to Cheviot Elementary, do it tonight. Great menu. Try their gyro burger platter. Drinks are free refills. Just a sweet charming eatery if you love Mediterranean food. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great service, excellent cafe food. I got the gyro. ...needs some remodeling/updates IMHO I would definitely go back there. Careful on the driveway apron...

One of the best falafel wraps I have ever had! The fries are also amazing (w/ garlic sauce with they are perfect!). Very affordable prices and always quick and friendly service.
